We went to see the Rivermen this afternoon and Scooby Doo was there. When Lourdes saw him, she went nuts over him like she did when she saw Chuck E. Cheese. She screamed, she jumped, she completely went rigid with excitement. Scooby was kind enough to let us take a picture with him and Lourdes didn't want to let him go. We followed him a little bit and when the kids cleared out, we set Lourdes down and she ran over to him and grabbed his legs and wouldn't let him go.
The Riverman have a mascot called the Captain. One of these days we're going to have to introduce him to Lourdes. She's already crazy about him, I'm sure she'll love to meet him.

I am so jealous of how often you get to see the Rivermen. Do they still blow that huge horn when they score a goal?
Yes they do!! Sunday's game they won 7-1. After the game was over they blew the horn 7 times in a row.
Yeah, you're right about the Riverman. . . they sure do blow.
